Testimonials
Air Cadet 101 is currently being used by several CCF(RAF) Sections and ATC Squadrons across the United Kingdom. Some have been kind enough to provide some testimonials - they are documented below:
As the Honorary President of No 125 (Cheltenham) Squadron, in addition to my numerous other contacts and interests across the very wide field of the Air Cadets, I am delighted to add my personal endorsement of this excellent website. As its name implies, the website draws together a mass of detailed information that each cadet should know, or at least know where to find, and as such it sits extremely well alongside the official RAFAC website - the 2 are complementary. I have recommended the site to all with whom I am in contact within the organisation, and my own squadron now use it regularly.
Above all else, this is a fine example of what a highly motivated Air Cadet is able to achieve from his own effort and initiative. Well done, and thank you from the countless cadets who will benefit from your diligence well into the future. Air Marshal Sir Graham 'Dusty' Miller KBE Honorary President 125 (Cheltenham) Squadron, OC Training Group (2002-03), Air Secretary (2003-04), Station Commander RAF Lossiemouth (1995–98), OC 17(F) Squadron 1990-92) 125 (Cheltenham) Squadron |
"Having had a good look at this website, I will be recommending it to my cadets and officers, both RAF and Army, as a clear and most useful source of information on many aspects of the Air Cadets. I shall also pass the link on to my counterparts in other Scottish contingents and would expect an equally favourable response to this commendable initiative."

Air Cadet 101 is a great resource for my new recruits as they progress in the organisation. It provides a mass of information which my cadets should know. This will help them to find the information and it sits well alongside the official RAFAC website. A very useful ‘aide memoir’ for my NCOs and staff nicely laid out and with a good use of visuals. I am recommending to my cadets, to use this valuable resource. Well done!

It is clear that you have put in a colossal amount of effort sourcing and collating a series of pertinent resources for Air Cadets. I congratulate you on assembling an extremely useful website which is easy to navigate and has up to date information for cadets. Some of our cadets have already used it for some of their lessons!

Air Cadet 101 is an absolutely fantastic resource for my brand new recruits as they come in the door. It provides an on-hand resource to consolidate the start of their training. Furthermore, it allows them somewhere they can direct their questions that isn't an NCO or staff member which presents the information in a simplified manner. I, personally, find the section on abbreviations to be especially helpful, as a lot of these abbreviations are used on a regular basis without explanation. Air Cadet 101 gives a complete guide to almost every abbreviation used within the RAFAC as a whole, perfect for the new recruit that I aim this resource at. However, if I said I would only direct my new recruits to this, I would be lying; it also provides a fantastic resource for my NCO's who can refer to it if a cadet poses a question they aren't sure of, or to consolidate their own knowledge. Overall, Air Cadet 101 is a fantastic resource that I highly recommend.

This is the beginnings of a fantastic resource which will be very useful for both cadets and new staff who want to find out how the Air Cadets works. This is something the organisation desperately needs and I'm sure it will be a success. I particularly like the idea of having videos available for certain areas where appropriate.

I have found your website to be an invaluable resource. Not only will it be a ‘go to’ website for cadets it will also be a useful training tool and ‘aide memoir’ for adult staff! It is well laid out and presented with effective use of visuals. It offers a good introduction to the organisation with a concise overview of the RAFAC.
Well done! 16F (Wood Green and Hornsey) Squadron |
Air Cadet 101 is a fantastic website - most other resources are old and outdated. Fully up to date and a great place for anyone to go if they want to find out about the organisation, have just joined and want to learn some more, and even experienced cadets that want to see what the Corps can offer, or revise for an interview. I will certainly be recommending to my cadets

Having been introduced to this fantastic website (and active social media presence) and Harry at RIAT19, I have now passed it on to the entire Contingent as an invaluable repository of essential knowledge for all Cadets, not just the RAF Section. It is great to see so much up to date content

What can I say! Air Cadet 101 is an absolutely fantastic resource not only for new cadets but also for senior cadets and cadet force adult volunteers. During my own time as a cadet I found Air Cadet 101 to be a massive help providing little hints and tips on many areas of cadet life from drill to uniform, leadership and many other areas. I. have since shared Air Cadet 101 with my Squadron and many of 440's members now use the site on a regular basis to gain information, hints and tips. I would highly recommend that people give the site a go as this is an amazing resource.
I would also like to provide some credit to Harry for his amazing work in putting the website together. On behalf of 440 I would highly endorse this site. 440 (1st Manx) Squadron |
